These terms are an agreement between you and Eureka Software Factory (“we”, “us”) covering the Faith Alarm mobile app and this website (together, “the app”). By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Your licence to use the app

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Faith Alarm on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. We keep every right not expressly granted here.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Faith Alarm, and old enough under the law of your country to enter into this agreement. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the app only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf. Purchases require an App Store or Google Play account you are authorised to use.

3. Your journal and other content

Anything you write in Faith Alarm — journal entries, alarm times, favorites — is yours. We claim no ownership of it and no licence to use it. It is stored on your device and is not transmitted to us, so we cannot read it, moderate it, recover it, or hand it to anyone else.

Because your content lives only on your device, you are responsible for keeping it. Deleting the app, or losing or resetting your device, permanently deletes your journal. We cannot restore it. See the privacy policy for detail.

4. Subscriptions and auto-renewal

Faith Alarm is free to download and use. Faith Alarm Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks the full devotional library, unlimited journal history, and three grace days a week instead of one. It is offered on these plans:

These are the terms of that subscription:

• Payment is charged by the store. Your App Store or Google Play account is charged when you confirm the purchase.
• It renews automatically. The subscription continues for the same period at the same price until you cancel. Your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Cancel through the store, not through us. Manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. In the app, Settings → Manage subscription takes you there. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid being charged for the next one.
• Cancelling ends the renewal, not the current period. Pro stays unlocked until the period you have already paid for runs out.
• Restoring a purchase. If you reinstall the app or move to a new device using the same store account, use Settings → Restore purchase to re-unlock Pro. Your journal and streaks are stored on the device and are not restored this way — only the subscription is.
• Prices vary by region. The amounts above are the US list prices. The store shows the exact price in your currency, including any applicable tax, before you confirm.

5. Free trial

Faith Alarm Pro may be offered with a [7-DAY FREE TRIAL — CONFIRM CONFIGURED IN STORE]. Where a trial is offered, it applies once per store account. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited if you subscribe before it ends. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts into a paid subscription at the plan price you selected and your account is charged.

6. Refunds

We do not process payments and cannot issue refunds. Refunds are handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own policies — request one through Apple's “Report a Problem” page or the Google Play order history. Statutory rights of withdrawal or cancellation that apply where you live are not affected by this section.

7. Price changes

We may change subscription prices. A change never affects a period you have already paid for. Where the store requires it, you will be notified and asked to consent before a renewal at a higher price; if you do not consent, the subscription will not renew.

9. Devotional content

Faith Alarm includes scripture passages, reflections, and prayers. Scripture quotations are reproduced under [TRANSLATION LICENSE] — the permission or licence granted by the copyright holder of the Bible translation the app quotes.

The content is offered for personal devotional use. It is not pastoral counsel, and it is not medical, psychological, financial, or legal advice. It is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional or from your own faith community. If you are in crisis, contact a local emergency service or crisis line.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Copy, redistribute, resell, or publicly display the app's content outside your personal devotional use;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the app's source code, except where that restriction is prohibited by law;
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with the subscription checks that gate premium content, or use the app with a modified or tampered store client;
• Use the app in any way that breaks applicable law or infringes anyone's rights.

11. Our intellectual property

The Faith Alarm name, logo, design, written reflections and prayers, and the software itself are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. Nothing in these terms transfers any of those rights to you.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that alarms will always be delivered. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or missed events, arising out of your use of the app — including any consequence of an alarm that did not arrive or of journal data lost when the app was uninstalled.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

14. Termination

You may end this agreement at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these terms. Sections 3, 11, 12, 13, and 17 survive termination. Ending the agreement does not by itself cancel a subscription — cancel that through your store account, as described in section 4.

15. App Store and Google Play terms

Your use of the app is also subject to the terms of the store you obtained it from.

For the Apple App Store: this agreement is between you and us only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, regulatory non-compliance, or intellectual property claims. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and are not on any US Government restricted-parties list. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

For Google Play: the Google Play Terms of Service apply to your purchase and download of the app.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The “last updated” date above will change and the new version will be posted at this address. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will make it clear in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW — STATE / COUNTRY], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of [JURISDICTION — COURTS] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
